LETRAMENTO LITERÁRIO INDÍGENA COMO EMPODERAMENTO IDENTITÁRIO EM TERRITÓRIO SEMIÁRIDO

RESUMO

O presente artigo tece considerações sobre a possibilidade de o letramento literário indígena contribuir para o fortalecimento da identidade étnica em Território Semiárido. Uma das possibilidades é a leitura literária situada de textos ancestrais na educação indígena, como elemento revitalizador da afirmação identitária e de resgate da memória histórica. Nesse contexto, consta, neste trabalho, na íntegra, uma lenda de referência ancestral do Povo Pankararu, inserido em Território Semiárido, além de breve e relevante relato sobre essa lenda, cedido por uma professora indígena dessa etnia. Pautado em referenciais bibliográficos de pesquisadores renomados, este texto se propõe a contribuir, dentro dos limites epistemológicos, para a ampliação desse debate.

ABSTRACT

This article reflects on the possibility of the indigenous literary literacy contribute to the strengthening of ethnic identity in semi-arid territory. One possibility is the literary reading of ancient texts in indigenous education as a revitalizing element of identity affirmation and recovery of historical memory. In this context, consists in this work, in full, an ancient reference legend Pankararu people, inserted in semi-arid territory, as well as brief and relevant account of this legend, given by a native teacher of this ethnic group. Lined in bibliographic references of renowned researchers, this paper aims to contribute, within the epistemological limits to the expansion of this debate.
